Dear friends and family,
Well, we made it to Oregon (USA). Thank you BIG time for your prayers and support while we travelled back from PNG. Felt so good to get those two negative covid tests (each) behind us and to get the 32 hours (spread over 42) of sitting in a plane behind us, too. The bed felt very good. Smile.
Speaking of bed/s, we're currently staying in one of the two homes that our home/sending church generously provides for those of us who are engaged in 'overseas missionary' work. We plan to be here through the end of August and then 'somewhere else' thereafter. We had hoped - a year ago when we made the decision that we'd be 'going finish' from PNG - that we'd possibly buy a home once back in Oregon (as we've never purchased a home before in our almost 25 years of marriage). Well, as those of you stateside well know, this is most definitely not a buyer's market right now. Though we'd rather not rent, it may be what we need to do in the interim. We know we're in 'good company' with many of you with such decisions. If you may have a rental option for us, please let us know.
An additional and more immediate need, though, is that we're looking to purchase a few good, used vehicles with around 100k miles. So if you have anything and/or know someone, we're 'in the market'.
