Dear Parents,

The school year is rapidly coming to an end! It is amazing how quickly it went! The days are definitely hotter and you can sense in many of the students the "antsyness" that comes with this time of year!  The new water cooler is getting a good work out!

Though we want our students to get a break and have lots of fun, it is also important for them (K5-Grade 6) to still be reading during the holidays!  Make it part of their normal bedtime routine! Of course, it won't happen every night, but try to be intentional.  With the PEP, the more reading, the better!  If you go on any outings, have discussions about them! You can even have them write about what they experienced.

Those going into Grade 3 through Grade 6, should be revising their multiplication tables! Those in Grade 1 & 2, should revise their Math addition and subtraction families. This math practice is vital! There are lots of online learning games that can assist in building mastery! Your involvement makes a huge impact.  As we continue to adjust to the PEP (Primary Exit Profile), we need to continue to increase our students reading, writing and critical thinking skills.
The more practice the better!
I want to "shout out" our amazing fathers, as we honour them on Father's Day, June 16th.  You make an impact on your child/children even when you may not realize it! You are constantly being watched-- every move you make! The time you take and the time you make to spend with them will always be remembered. I know from experience, that your children will be grown before you squint! Make the most of it. Though many of us had great fathers, several did not. If you happened to NOT have a positive experience with your father, break the cycle with your children.  Do not continue it any longer!

Know we are praying for you-- that you will be filled with courage and strength to be excellent dads! It is easy to pass on the wounds we experienced as kids to our own children. God has a better plan for you --to pass on positive self-esteem, morals and character to yours! I also have to honour the moms who are in dual roles! You are spectacular! Increased strength and joy to you!

All the best,
