What a wonderful medical missionary my friend Dr Andrew Bareng is! If only there were many more like him—choosing to make sharing Jesus more important than making money!
When I left to return home, his wife took me to the market where she bought lots of fresh veggies and fruits that we can’t get here in our part of PNG. Not only did she pay for them, but she went to the airport with me and paid over $100 (USD) in excess baggage for me to take them home on the plane. (The excess baggage fee is $10/ kg.) We have really enjoyed our treats this week! God keeps providing in so many ways. I plan to go back soon with Toni to wire his house for electricity to use with a generator that he runs a couple hours each night. Now he just has extension cords going everywhere and it is not safe. Toni will teach his wife, Leanne how to make gluten, cook beans and use tofu to help them towards a vegetarian diet. It will be a little mission trip for us.
Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support. They are so important to us and the project here. May you be blessed too.
