BIG NEWS ABOUT A SMALL COMBI
Vulcan Minijet approved for use without vent
Many of you have asked if the Vulcan Minijet Combi oven can be used ventless because you don’t have a hood above where you want it installed and you can’t add one. The official answer from Underwriters Laboratory is yes. Yes, you can use the Minijet without an exhaust hood.
To be used without a hood with fire suppression, the combi had to pass what’s known as the EPA 202 test to see how much grease-laden air it emits. We won’t bore you with the details of this UL-administered test, but the Minijet passed with flying colors. (Don’t worry if your local health or building department is a stickler for paperwork. Premier Equipment can provide documentation of the ventless application.)
The ventless combi opens a world of possibilities for small schools. With one piece of equipment you can bake, steam, roast, grill, air-fry, re-therm, proof, finish, poach, stew, defrost, and cook-and-hold food. If you want to replace a steamer, you can add a Minijet combi in the same footprint for only a slightly higher cost than a new steamer, but you’ll be adding so much versatility to your kitchen.
If you need more capacity, you can even double-stack two Vulcan Minijets in the same compact space. The double stack won’t need venting, either.
While an oven that can perform so many kinds of cooking sounds complex, the Minijet makes cooking as easy a s ABC. With the simple ABC display, all you need to do is set the temperature and time. The oven automatically sets the optimal humidity level. That means training people to use the oven is simple, so you don’t waste time and productivity. (Watch how easy Vulcan's combi controls are.)
You can also save recipes and access them quickly simply by touching a picture of the item you want to cook. Even new employees will be able to cook the students’ favorite foods.
Now that it's approved for ventless use, is the Vulcan Minijet combi the right oven for your school kitchen? To learn more about this versatile, easy-to-use combi, contact Premier Equipment's Tennessee Territory Manager Tom John: tjohn@premierequip.com or 678-410-0831.
