Hi <<First Name>>

Welcome to the brand new incarnation of our regular Friday reach out to fellow Jeemers. The format may be different but the passion for all things "peace, purpose and productivity" is stronger than ever!

In response to your feedback, we'll be sharing highlights from our week - a curated selection from things we've read, watched, pondered over, eaten, loved or purchased. Fret not, we will we continue to share our longer read blog posts - deep dives into a variety of subjects - albeit a little less frequently.

Jeemers will know it takes no more than 5 minutes in the morning and another 5 in the evening to maintain a healthy journaling habit. That's why we're naming the new email series "5-Minute Friday".

These “5-Minute Friday” emails will only be available to you as subscribers. They will not be on the blog or anywhere else.
What we're reading:
We loved this transcript of a conversation between A. Helwa (author of Secrets of Divine Love) and Fadhilah Wahid, hosted by the inimitable Wardah Books. Highly recommend the book itself too - it beautifully captures the essence of our hardwired sense of the Divine. A much needed antidote to much current rhetoric and intolerance. The Sunday school teacher we wish we all had, in book format!

What we're watching:
We accepted and lost Professor Fred Korfman's bet in his really quite marvellous talk for LinkedIn: 'Conscious Business' tackling among other things "why your job is not your job". Plenty for the work sphere but applicable far beyond the world of work too.

What we're listening to:
A short, powerfully simple audiobook entitled 'Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends on It' by Kamal Ravikant (brother of Naval Ravikant). The single-minded focus on loving oneself more than we perhaps give ourselves permission to makes it a challenging listen but an important one to heed for "the relationship with yourself sets the tone for every other relationship you have."

What we're loving:
With one of us being of Mughal ancestry and the other a Mughal-by-proxy by virtue of reading every William Dalrymple book out there, Shahkaar's Mughal inspired Jaali prints have caught our eye. "A jaali is essentially a net or perforated lattice screen. This piece is a small tribute to the intricate geometric jaalis that have adorned the walls of Indo-Islamic architecture for centuries."

What we're blogging about:
Our latest blog reflected on the UK heatwave focusing on finding meaning whilst avoiding melting!

Quote we're pondering over:
It's not necessary to look for miracles outside ourselves — Shems Friedlander

All best wishes and duas
