Dear Friends of Skaneateles Lake-

The Skaneateles Lake Association wishes you a healthy and happy Labor Day Weekend!

Thank you for all you do to
continue to help protect Skaneateles Lake.

In this issue, please find information below on the SLA's 2021 Annual Meeting that was hosted via zoom on August 24th. Information includes ways you can help promote support of our lake with being a part of increasing membership to the SLA.

Also, please find included Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon's renewed "Emergency Order" to continue the 5 MPH No Wake Speed Limit applicable anywhere on Skaneateles Lake. The order is in effect until and will be re-assessed for renewal on September 8th. SLA appreciates everyone's efforts to help reduce shoreline erosion during this high water period.

Thank you again for all your support!

Frank Moses
Executive Director

As part of the report delivered by SLA Membership Chair Fran Fish and as an effort to continue support of SLA we are asking members to:

  • Check our current memberships on our website - under the “membership/support tab” for a particular person/family/business that you think should be members and if you do not see them listed
  • Reach out to them using the printable potential member questionnaire and member registration documents linked and share with them the importance of membership including:
    •  financial support of all the SLA efforts to keep the Lake clear and the water pure,
    • ongoing announcements of pertinent and urgent issues and educational programs &
    • increasing the volume of the SLA’s member voice with governmental agencies, municipalities and other organizations that the SLA turns to for support of issues and programs or financial support.
    • Encourage them to join the SLA. - online link to join as a new member can be found HERE.
