The women’s bible study meets at 9am on Tuesdays in the church fellowship hall. We are currently reading about women in the New Testament. The book is “From Daughters to Disciples” by Lynn Japinga,. Everyone is welcome, and no prior biblical knowledge is necessary. If you have any questions, contact Carol Wojnarowski.

Pizza coupon sales started April 1! Lou Malnati's Pizza Coupon Sale to benefit the adult mission trip to Waverly, Tennessee! Coupons for a 9" deep dish frozen pizza cost $13 and can be redeemed at any Lou Malnati's location. $5 from each pizza coupon sold benefits our trip! Money must be turned into the church office by April 24th with checks made out to Peace Lutheran Church with "Pizza Sale" in the memo. Coupons will arrive by Mother's Day. The quilters will meet on Saturday, April 23, starting at 9 AM. We will again meet at the home of Carol Wojnarowski to select and cut material. If you want to bring your sewing machine that would be fine but be sure to bring your ideas and cutting tools.

Our last meeting of the year will be Sunday, April 24th from 4-6pm and we will be joined by the teens from Messiah Lutheran Church in Wauconda as we celebrate the end of the year with games and fellowship.
I was so grateful for such wonderful weather and a great turn out for our Easter Egg Hunt's on Palm Sunday! We had 22 children aged birth to 5th grade attend the Sunday School egg hunt and 10 middle and high schoolers attend the glow egg hunt in the evening to help us find 1000 eggs in all. You may even find a few well-hidden ones still around the church property! The Easter bunny even made a few appearances. Thank you to our middle and high schoolers who helped support the Sunday School egg hunt and thank you to Ross and Beth Papke, Cathy and Faith Malloy, Karen Dahlke, Debbie Dice and Pastor Daniel for helping to crack glow sticks and hide our glow eggs. A special thank you to Liz Hopman and Natalie Trumbull for helping to support our snacks for the morning and our spring crafts that will be shared with our neighbors at The Auberge.

The people of Ukraine are experiencing a terrible humanitarian crisis with the invasion from Russia and are in need of food, shelter, medicine and other supplies. If you can help, please write a check to Lutheran World Relief by April 24, and put in the memo section, Ukraine Match. Put your check in the offering container or in the church office and they will be sent to LWR to maximize the impact. Thank you!

Are you in 4th or 5th grade? Did you miss the communion class? Pastor Daniel will be offering an afternoon communion class for 4th and 5th graders and their parents in May. We will learn through games, videos, and by baking communion bread. Check back for more information next week!

Come one come all to our Pot Luck on April 30th at 4:30pm. The theme will be Mexican. Please bring a dish to share. Beer and Wine are approved as BYOB. There will also be a bonfire. Please bring your own lawn chairs to sit outside!!! Look forward to seeing all.

May Day Bags with cookies and wildflower seeds for the labyrith flower garden and Thrivent T-shirts for all youth
Wear your favorite gardening clothes to church and please bring your gardening gloves, tools and shovels. We will have a list of projects for you to pick from: Mulching, cutting down perenials, raking, moving dirt, planting flowers and grass seed.
Feel free to bring lawn chairs for outdoor lunch.

Our adult mission trip will be June 5-11 in Waverly Tennessee, an area hit hard with a flash flood last year resulting in catastrophic damage to the community. We will be working on construction/rebuilding projects when we are there. We are currently having our annual Lou Malnati's pizza coupon sale to raise money for transportation costs (now thru 4/24). Please direct any questions to Sue or Bill Koenig. Final payments for the participants are due May 1.

Feed my starving children update-The meals we packed on March 6 have already shipped on and are their way to feed hungry kids in Hondurus at the organization called Food for the Poor.. That is a very quick turn around! Mark your calendar for our next event on June 18th!

To continue helping Pastor Daniel and Peace families get to know one another, small group gatherings at church will begin in the next few weeks. Consider joining one of these groups for an hour of fellowship that includes a kick-off activity and sharing fun facts about each other. This is an intergenerational, family friendly event with something for everyone. Babysitting will be offered for some gatherings. Stay tuned for information on dates as well as how to sign-up!
