NEWSFLASH November
Fr Henri, founding father and driving force of our ICC will be leaving us: cardinal Eijk has appealed him to accept a new appointment in Apeldoorn-Twello, about 45 km from Wageningen. As of January 1, he will be the parish priest of the St Francis parish.
Sad news for us, since we have to say goodbye, and so at the same time, happy news for the parish of Saint Francis, because they can enjoy the presence of our energetic, inspiring missionary and shepherd.
It is not yet known who will be his successor; however, we hope he can count on the hospitality we learned from Fr Henri and from each other.
Let us congratulate Fr Henri with his new appointment.
Let us pray that that his move will go well and that his new parish will bring him even more joy than ours! ;o)
In the meantime, let us enjoy his presence while he is still in Wageningen !
For your agenda
On Sunday January 8 there will be a special celebration to say goodbye to Fr Henri.

Advertisement: Our choirs are always looking for new members
Singing and making music at great height (on the attic) !
Both the International choir and the African choir are always looking for new members.
You don't have to be a Pavarotti or an Aafje Heynis:
Do you like to sing? Do you like to play an instrument? Do you like to conduct?
Do you like to see our church from a different point of view (from the attic)?
Then don't hesitate to contact one of the contact persons:
Our just meet them after mass while drinking a cup of coffee / tea :o)
Feel welcome !
Lena and Cedric have recently taken over direction of the international choir. Thank you Carlos and Maurizio for your efforts the last years, thank you for guiding the international choir through the corona-time !
During the corona-crisis, Fr Henri and Fr Erik have been making catechism films for children every week.
It turns out that adults also like them.
They are in Dutch (no subtitles).
Curious? There are catechism films for the whole year round.
Go to the Dutch Facebooksite of our Parish, and look for "videos".
An example: The first catechism of the Lent period
But there are many more: About Talents (Fr Erik appears to be a very sporty man!) or About Baptism, for instance

Most of the corona measures are in the freezer for the time being !
Exception: While wishing each other peace, don't shake hands.
There will still be parishioners, however, who have to keep distance or wear a face mask due to fragile health or for other reasons. We therefore ask everyone to continue to follow the hygiene rules, to continue to respect each other and to continue to take each other into account, so that everyone can feel welcome and can celebrate the liturgy in our church safely.
Thank you !
Thank all of you for your prayer, your patience and cooperation, and many thanks for all who have contributed in giving everybody the opportunity to visit our church in a safe way until now !
Let's pray the situation will continue to develop in a positive way. Finally
Keep washing your hands, and stay at home when you feel sick. When you have to sneeze, do it in your arm-pit, etcetera, etcetera. I think you all know it by now.
Government measures may change, so keep an eye out for the ICC news flashes....
Thank you for your cooperation, and welcome in our church !
Perhaps you have never met him; John was a member of the church council of our location Wageningen and chief sacristan for many years.
In the background John has played an important role for our international community.
His enthusiastic, jovial, warm, involved, sincere personality will be missed enormously.
Last Friday many said goodbye to John in a beautiful Holy Mass.
Would you please include John, his family and loved ones in your prayers?
