This month the Bois d’Arc Lake website launched a “newsroom” dedicated to news on the lake and related projects. The page will be updated regularly with recent news stories, releases and Facebook posts.
This month, we get our first look at construction on the Lake Operations Center and the Terminal Storage Reservoir. Plus, you'll see construction updates on the FM 897 bridge and raw water pipeline. Watch the video above to see the latest construction progress on Bois d'Arc Lake.
Raw Water Pipeline and Other Projects
Since construction crews began on the raw water pipeline in August...
474 pieces of 25,000-lb. pipe have been placed
23,700 ft. (12%) of the total pipeline has been laid
65 crew members are now working on the project every day
4 (soon to be 5) crews are currently working at 3 different locations
The pipeline is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2021.
Along with various other projects, work also continues...
Raising the eastern side of the lake's dam to match that of the western portion.
At mitigation sites, including preparations for winter tree planting.
Building Leonard Water Treatment Plant - Now over one-third complete on the total project.
Completing the seventh pour of concrete for FM897 bridge over the future lake - The bridge supporting structure is over halfway complete.
