The 76th United Nations General Assembly is held from September 14 to 30. High-level representatives from the 193 Member States will deliver their speeches in line with this year's theme "...recovering from COVID-19, rebuilding sustainability, responding to the needs of the planet, respecting people's rights and revitalizing the United Nations".

The pandemic has presented an opportunity to Build Forward Better. This means, moving towards sustainable societies, keeping the promise of the 2030 Agenda and strengthening solidarity with those who will succeed us in time.

Cepei provides actionable recommendations to the UN Development System Regional Reform
"The role of the regions could now become crucial for delivering the SDGs and recovering better from COVID-19"

The United Nations Development System (UNDS) regional reform is one of the main priorities of the re-elected UN Secretary General António Guterres. In our most recent work, we found that collaboration between regions is essential for a more efficient United Nations.
