Great Falls, Montana now a major center of biodiesel development
Montana farmers are well acquainted with oilseed production. Crops like canola, flaxseed and safflower are widely grown across the state, harvested and processed to produce cooking oils for human consumption. However, a different oilseed crop, camelina, is making new inroads into Montana agriculture - not as a food crop, but as a source of renewable diesel fuel.
States around the country continue to invest in broadband with unprecedented amounts of money, leading to increased grant programs, funds being directed to middle-mile infrastructure programs, the building out of state broadband offices and more developments.
“I really lost a lot of faith in Boise State,” she said. “It was more important for the university to cope with whatever the Legislature wanted than to advocate for students. I feel more like a liability than a part of the community.”
Monforton put part of the blame on a legal challenge that temporarily restricted them from gathering signatures, and he said they had thousands more signatures that couldn’t be counted because the Montana Secretary of State’s Office ruled there was an error in the brochure they used while gathering them.
My checklist is more work than putting together a binder full of stuff. But, a new board member does need some stuff. The other thing that may feel onerous is that my checklist assumes an in-person (ideally) orientation.
