CCI Vietnam News
From the National Director
We celebrated a new year holiday twice. It’s a great time to be with family and meeting with some friends. However, Lunar New Year is a bad experience for most of the people since prices are abnormally fluctuating. This year, the atmosphere of Lunar was fright due to NcoV virus. People mostly stayed home and every school suspended.
Praise the Lord for his protection and providence. He is at work in many lives as we meet with people and learn from their stories. It’s a great to have time to meet with students and church leaders so that we can hear about life and pray for each other. These are some stories that we collected from our students.

The first testimony is from our former student. He is now a minister in a local church in southern Vietnam. His testimony is on how the God's Financial Principles (GFP) seminar blesses his family.

“My name is Mr. L and I was a lucky guy. I accepted Christ when I was very young and was elected to be a deacon in a local church. I got married when I was 19 years old and I was sent to Hanoi Bible College to prepare for ministry at the age of 21. I graduated in 2012 after 2 years of training. At this time I bought a smart phone, a Nokia, and started learning to use the internet. My friends invited me to online gambling. Wishing to make more money, I accepted their invitation and I lost everything. The more I tried the more I lost. I felt in debt. And my family emigrated to the southern part of Vietnam.  God’s Financial Principles Seminar saved my family's financial problem. I learned how to be freed from debt and to save money. I can say the biggest blessing of my life is freedom from all debt. Praise God for his mercy and patience on me. He keeps entrusting me and using me to do his ministry."

Alumni’s testimony
Pastor G is an assistant pastor in a church in southern Vietnam. I met him at the alumni meeting event of Vietnam Presbyterian Churches. There were 19 CCI former students and families gathering in the church. This is the story from a pastor about how God blesses him through CCI curriculum.

“Even though I had been helping my pastor in preaching and doing some activities, I admitted that I did not really understanding what I preached. Because of misunderstanding and poor explanation, I was not assigned to preach. After one year of studying the CCI curriculum, seeing my maturity, my pastor once again asked me to preach at a Sunday service. I was so happy and started using all things that I have learned from the class. From then on, I have been assigned to preach every month and do some important ceremonies to help our congregation.
Praise God for the church-based study, it helped me so much to be equipped and trained without leaving my family and ministry.”

Thank you for your prayers & support and please continue to pray for our ministry in Vietnam.

Update from North Coordinator: Pastor T
We enjoyed the Tet holiday aka Lunar New Year. It’s such a great time to be with our family and children. Praise God for his protection and caring for my children as they are living with their grandparents.
Me and pastor T finished teaching Book#2 and met with some pastors to encourage them to start CCI classes as a tool of discipleship in their local churches before we went home for holiday.
